DKMS BMST Foundation India has developed a donation refund and cancellation policy as a part of our commitment to honor and respect the financial contributions that people make to DKMS-BMST.

This policy outlines the circumstances are as follow -

Who is eligible for a refund?

All individual/corporate donors are eligible for a refund, provided the donation has not been utilized for a specific project.

Can I get a refund of my donation?

Yes, you can get a refund provided you notify us with a written communication within 7 days. The amount will be refunded after deducting the transaction fee/processing charges.

What would be the mode of the refund?

We will refund the amount by issuing a cheque or online transfer, the preferred mode should be communicated in writing at the time of requesting a refund.

When can I expect the refund amount back?

You can expect the refund within 30 working days, post your request for a refund was made subject to the normal functioning of the banks.

What if there is a technical error or an error in the amount?

The same has to be informed to us in writing at finance@dkms-bmst.org. Please provide details of the technical error and the nature of the mistake within 2 days of the transaction.

Can I ask for a refund after receiving a tax exemption certificate?

No, DKMS-BMST shall not be liable to refund any donation amount post the tax exemption certificate has been issued.

How can I cancel my donation?

For cancellation, the donor has to send us an email with all the details that have been provided to our organization previously. You can email at finance@dkms-bmst.org

Can I cancel my donation anytime?

For regular giving donors, you may cancel your donation anytime before the 25th of every month. Cancellation requests post 25th will be processed in the next month. (Only if it’s regular giving)

For One Time donation, cancellation requests will be effective immediately post we receive the donation provided the funds are not utilized for a specific project.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Donations can be accepted from Indian donors. Donations from foreign sources will not be acceptable. Donations from NRIs who don’t have Indian bank accounts or NRE accounts will not be accepted.
  • Donations will be accepted from companies, registered in India.
  • The donation has to be made in the form of an online, cheque, demand draft
  • We don’t accept cash donations. A cash donation is not allowed.
  • Donor's details will remain confidential with us. Donors’ records only are disclosed to the government officials if and when asked.
  • Refund and cancellation will not be applicable once a tax exemption certificate is issued.
  • The refund process may take place between 7 to 30 working days.
  • CSR donations will be accepted if there is no compliance issue at the donor’s end. (as per CSR mandate under The Companies Act 2013)
  • Anonymous donations will not be considered. (because these donations will not be recorded)
  • It’s important to follow the KYD method (Know Your Donor) which means donor identity, address and the purpose of the donation has to be for the social cause.
  • PAN no. and Aadhar No. of the donors is mandatory if the donation is over and above Rs. 50,000 for individual donors and for companies it’s mandatory to provide the PAN details.
