A hardworking farmer from Haryana, Nilesh has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and is currently undergoing regular, painful blood transfusions. Being the sole breadwinner of his family, he’s afraid he may not recover from his condition and his family will be left to fend for themselves. His wife is staying strong and is taking care of the kids, while Nilesh’s brother-in-law is providing all his support for the family and treatment.
He’s now being treated in PGI Chandigarh under Dr. Pankaj Malhotra and Dr. Sayan Sinha Roy, who suggested a blood stem cell transplant as a viable treatment option for Nilesh.
