Ready to become a potential lifesaver?

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get desensitized to the realities of those around us. Often, we don’t care about a cause until it affects us, our family, or our friends.

What if we can change that? YOU can change that?

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Every 5 mins someone in India is diagnosed with blood cancer or a blood disorder; which means 1,00,000 Indians are diagnosed with blood cancer each year.
  • A stem cell transplant can be the only chance of survival for many of these blood cancers and blood diseases like Thalassemia, Aplastic Anemia and Sickle Cell Anemia.
  • Only 0.03% of Indians are registered as blood stem cell donors. The need for more Indian blood stem cell donors is critical for patients to find a matching donor.

Under25 is joining hands with DKMS-BMST

U25 and DKMS-BMST are joining hands to get more young people involved in the fight against blood cancer. Through this collaboration, we aim to expand the registry to create a more diverse donor pool so more patients have a second chance at life. We also believe that this collaboration can raise awareness among people as to what exactly blood cancers and blood disorders are and how a blood stem cell transplant can save lives.

"You can be a potential life saver in 5 minutes! By registering with DKMS BMST, you can give someone a second chance at life so join the life saver squad now!" - Under 25

DKMS-BMST is dedicated to helping patients suffering from blood cancer and blood disorders find a matching donor by registering more people on the registry. Till date, we have registered over 44,000 potential stem cell donors, but the need for more donors persists. U25 and DKMS-BMST are providing you a platform to act! Join our #U25SwabSquad campaign and join our community of lifesavers.

How does Blood Stem Cell Donation work?

Where do you fit in?

The representation of Indians on the global registry is very poor. This reduces the probability of a patient trying to find a matching donor. So, when it comes to finding a matching donor, a person with the same ethnic background as a patient may be a better match than one who comes from an entirely different background.

YOU can provide patients in need of a stem cell transplant, hope for a second chance at life by registering as a blood stem cell donor.

When you join the stem cell registry, you give hope to a patient who is in urgent need of a stem cell transplant and provide them with a chance for a healthy future.

A hero can be anyone. Join the squad
